The Soul Reset VI:

Saturday, November 7, 2026
Rancho de Vida, Johnson City, Texas

What is the Soul Reset?  Think a Venn Diagram at the sweet overlap intersection of Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday, TED Talks and a day with good girlfriends in the Texas Hill Country.

Yummy food and drinks by Johnson City favorite Pecan Street Brewing (breakfast, lunch, happy hour), and Soul Reset swag are all included. Dust off your favorite lawn chair and get ready for an uplifting and mind-expanding day with other soul-forward and amazing women at Rancho de Vida.

The Lineup

This year, (our 6th!), we have more wonderful speakers and activities planned. Purposefully, there are fewer and more immersive sessions than years before. You’ll have more time to connect and share with friends old and new. But there may yet be a surprise addition.

Marina Weiler, Ph.D
Out of Body Experiences, Consciousness & Spiritual Growth

Marina is an Assistant Professor at the University of Virginia’s much vaulted and unique Division of Perceptual Studies. Her research explores the relationship between mind and brain, with a focus on out-of-body experiences, altered states of consciousness, anomalous perception, and unusual forms of communication. Using tools such as EEG, psychophysiology, and systematic phenomenological interviews, she investigates how extraordinary human experiences relate to brain function, psychological transformation, and meaning-making.

In what promises to be a fascinating session, Marina will explore how science has caught up with what spiritualists have held about consciousness for years---that our consciousness lives on after death. She brings the receipts and case studies with her talk: When the Self Isn’t Just the Body; Psychological and Spiritual Growth Through Out of Body Experience. Q & A and story sharing will follow her talk.

Marina was a runner-up in the Bigelow Institute for Consciousness Research essay contest on evidence for survival of consciousness and writes the Psychology Today column Beyond the Ordinary. A native of Brazil, she earned her doctorate at the University of Campinas in biomarkers of Alzheimer’s Disease, winning the Best Brazilian PhD Thesis Award in Medicine (2016).

Liana Naima

Giving Yourself Permission to Live a Joyful Life

Liana Naima is a beloved spiritual wellness practitioner, intuitive healer, and retreat leader devoted to guiding beings back to the truth of who they are, as whole, vibrant, and free. Through breathwork, energy healing, and meditation, she creates soul-nourishing experiences where people soften into presence, shed the weight of old stories, and remember the peace that lives within.

Rooted in ancient wisdom and modern healing arts, her approach bridges spiritual practice and personal growth to support embodiment, alignment, and authentic expression. The heart of her work is an invitation to live with more love, presence, and play.

In this experiential Soul Reset session, participants will explore what it means to give themselves permission to choose joy, not as denial of life's challenges, but as a courageous and intentional way of being. Through guided reflection, breathwork, gentle movement, and sound, we will examine the stories, beliefs, and patterns that keep us disconnected from our natural vitality and aliveness.

This workshop is an invitation to loosen the grip of perfectionism, release the masks we wear, and reconnect with the wisdom of the body. Together, we will create space for laughter, movement, and stillness as pathways back to ourselves. Participants will learn practical tools for shifting perspective, regulating the nervous system, and cultivating greater presence in the face of uncertainty, change, and grief. Expect a nourishing blend of insight and experience, where joy becomes a practice, a choice, and a way of relating to life.

She holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Bryn Mawr College and an M.Ed. from Hunter College. Liana's training includes certifications as a MNDFL Mindfulness Teacher, Trauma-Informed Breathworker, White Light Reiki Master, and VortexHealing® Practitioner. Liana has led wellness retreats at the Omega Institute and hosted experiences and panels for NBCUniversal, ULTA Beauty, JPMorgan Chase, Soho House, and Saks. She makes her home in Brooklyn, NY.

Barbara Nadalini-Priesnitz, LPC
Vibrational Goodness: A Sound Bath Experience

Barbara is an ardent advocate and practitioner of vibrational healing. Our bodies are mostly water and the effect of sound / vibration on water is highly coherent, creating waves and structure that renew health and energy.

Barbara, who leads weekly sound baths at her studio in Austin, will create an immersive sound bath experience for us. She will begin and end her session with a guided meditation, and everyone, from the comfort of their lawn chairs, will receive the healing vibrations of deep crystal and Tibetan bowls, and deeply resonating gongs. Chimes, too! You will leave feeling transformed and restored. Eye masks will be provided.

Barbara is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor, practicing in Austin since 2013. She has extensive training in various modalities including clinical hypnosis, Past Life Regression, Sound Healing, Alchemical Tarot and various forms of Energy Work. Her passion is creating experiences for her clients that deepen their relationships with themselves, and promote energetic healing at emotional, mental, relational and spiritual levels. Ask her about her super-duper Bio-Harmonics Vibro-Acoustic bed she offers clients--it really is something to experience!

Meredith Walker
Tapping Into Your Authentic Self & Purpose

Meredith is the author of Be Yourself and Other Bad Advice: A Teen Girl’s Guide to Unlearning the Rules (Workman Kids 2026), with a foreword by her BFF Amy Poehler. Between these pages is wisdom applicable for fevered teens and sweaty menopausal women alike.

She and Amy (who she met while working as Head of the Talent Department at Saturday Night Live), cofounded Smart Girls. This media company and community helps young people cultivate their authentic selves and navigate the world with confidence, curiosity, and critical thinking.

At different stages of life, we may find ourselves (re)pondering our purpose. Meredith will lead us in a session that will, as she says, “Pause the achievement parade for a while to tap into your unique purpose.” With exercises that will engage your authentic self, along with her signature humor, you will emerge uplifted and perhaps, with a new life focus.

Meredith began her career on the Peabody- and Emmy Award-winning Nickelodeon series Nick News under the mentorship of legendary journalist Linda Ellerbee. Her work has taken her around the world, from serving as a journalism envoy in refugee camps through the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs to participating in international delegations in Haiti and Malawi. She lives outside of Austin in Kyle, Texas, and continues to speak, write, and work with schools, libraries, nonprofits, and organizations dedicated to helping young people thrive

About The Soul Reset

When we take care of women, women take care of the world.*
This is our sixth year to host The Soul Reset at Rancho de Vida. I started putting these Soul Resets together after I hit rock bottom in my life and spelunked my way out of the debris field. It turned out to be a big, beautiful awakening.  What I continue to learn is that when we go inward, that’s where the good stuff is. And, that sisterhood is the best.

*Because women really do keep it going
