The Soul Reset V
Saturday, November 8, 2025
Rancho de Vida, Johnson City, Texas
Immerse yourself in a transformative and uplifting one-day women's retreat in the Texas Hill Country on Saturday, November 8, 2025. At this, our 5th Soul Reset, you'll glean from other wise women and explore topics that will rejuvenate your mind, body and spirit.
This time finds us digging deep for new life skills to handle a changing world where so much is coming at us fast. Initially, I resisted creating a theme to this year’s Soul Reset. Instead, to put together this year’s lineup, I visited with other Soul Resetters, and tapped into to my heart about what women need most right now. After generous speakers said yes, I looked at the list of wisdom bringers and voila! The theme was right there: Resilience & Joy.
Building and practicing resiliency is hard work, so we need to remember to reconnect with joy. It’s something women, (caretakers and caregivers that we are), forget to make room for in our lives. Doing so brings us back to our light.
Soul Resets are a one-day immersive (re)treat in the Texas Hill Country. You will enmesh with other wonderful women and learn from them, and they from you. You will connect more deeply to yourself, and others with learnings, laughter, music, food, and art in a unique cauldron.
2025 Soul Reset Speakers
We've got an incredible group of women generously sharing their knowledge this year. Join us for a day that promises to reset your heart and soul.
Jen Ostrich
The Enneagram—Become a More Integrated Version of Yourself
Jen is a sought-after executive coach, podcast host, and author. As CEO of Grow Collective, she leads the charge creating content and coaching focusing on coaching and developing powerful women leaders. She's been an active certified practitioner and huge believer in the Integrative9 Enneagram having witnessed profound awareness among hundreds of executives and teams. Many of you may know about the power of the Enneagram, a personality map featuring nine types. Its power lies in how it’s able to help you deeply understand yourself so you can learn how to manage your underlying motivation (which was created as a means to protect you as a child) so it’s not managing you. We cannot work to shift something that we cannot see. The Enneagram insights are like getting the keys to unlocking you. It’s a beautiful growth map, showing you where you are today, and what the pathways are to become full integrated into your best, most healthy self. It’s the “why” behind “what” you do. It’s psychologically and spiritually based and has been around for centuries.
In her Soul Reset session Jen will illustrate how the Enneagram is a beautiful map for inner work and development. (You can take an Enneagram test online--see box below--and your “type” number shows you what your subconscious motivation is and how that drives how you behave). By learning your core type you can then begin to deeply understand the why behind how you think, feel, and act. This is an invitation to wake up to all parts of you and learn what your own individual growth map looks like to evolve into your highest, most authentic self.
If you haven’t done so before, we encourage you to take an Enneagram test before you come to enhance your takeaways from this session. You can find some online to take for free, but Jen recommends these two links to get your Enneagram type: Integrative9 Test on Grow Collective Site: Offers a personal one for $60 and a professional (more extensive for the workplace) for $120 CP Enneagram: Offers a less extensive one but highly credible for $45
Karina Maria, LPC
The Goddess Story, Guided Meditation & Somatic Goodness
Karina María is a Licensed Professional Counselor, life coach, and psychedelic guide who took us on a powerful somatic journey at the Soul Reset two years ago. She supports people on their spiritual path to unlock their inner power and live abundant, meaningful lives. Her work weaves psychedelics, archetypal psychology, and breathwork, all grounded in a somatic and trauma-informed approach. Karina María offers 1:1 online support and leads women’s retreats in Colorado. The guidance she offers is deeply inspired by her time with the Arhuaco and Kogi peoples of Colombia, her ancestral homeland, and by the mythic teachings of Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés and the Awakening Women Institute.
Karina Maria will take you into a space of deep remembering. A space where you can exhale… soften… and come home to yourself. This offering is about slipping into a state of ease and connection—and the quiet strength that lives inside your body. Through the telling of a Goddess story, gentle breathwork, a nourishing body scan, and a guided meditation, Karina María will guide you in opening to your own resilience and joy. From this softened, grounded place, you’ll be gently invited into connection with the other participants and the land.
Dr. Gigi Dunn
Healing—A Full Circle Journey with the Vagus Nerve as Our Guide
Gigi Dunn, MD, and her rich presentation at last year’s Soul Reset about the impact of trauma on our bodies had many aha moments for us. This year, she’ll share the role neuroscience plays in creating our path to inner peace, hope, and healing. Much is now coming into popular knowledge about the vagus nerve and its importance to our physical and emotional health.
In these times of societal uncertainty and rapid transformation, turmoil can present individually in physical, emotional, and behavioral ways. In the context of real-life examples of the recurring climate events that are common to most of us, Gigi will help us navigate healing and the full circle journey with the “wandering” vagus nerve as our guide.
Gigi spent 20 years as a clinical anesthesiologist and physician executive in Baton Rouge and New Orleans. Propelled by the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, she made a big pivot to introduce a new paradigm in population wellbeing through evidence-based educational programming after completing an Integrative Medicine fellowship through the renowned Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine. Gigi is also certified in traumatic stress studies, and has authored healthcare journal articles on trauma, moral injury, and burnout. She’s currently working with physicians, nurses, and healthcare executives by collaborating with medical centers and medical schools to create a Center for Compassion and Wellbeing in Medicine.
Laurie Benson
Wild Hope & Emergent Wisdom: a Guided Forest Therapy Walk
Laurie is a beloved speaker at the Soul Reset (those at last year’s will remember her inspiring talk on Wild Hope). This year, Laurie will take us on a guided Forest Therapy Walk in the woods and creek of the ranch to reconnect with the wisdom and gifts of the natural world.
Forest Therapy evolved from Shinrin Yoku, a practice that saw a resurgence in Japan in the 1980’s when their government saw a dramatic increase in cancer and auto-immune diseases. They realized this was directly linked to their shift to a technology dependent society and decreased time in nature. The science is now proving that spending time among the trees, and in nature decreases cortisol levels, reduces inflammation, reduces stress and the physical impacts of stress, and so much more.
We have evolved alongside all of the beings of the natural world and co-exist in a relationship of reciprocity. Their gifts and wisdom are abundant. Trees, and other plants emit phytoncides - their natural defense mechanism - to keep themselves safe from disease and infestation. Science has now proven that these phytoncides also activate our NK cells that fight cancer within our bodies.
Laurie will begin her walk with a session on Wild Hope and how important it is to care for ourselves during challenging times. It’s important that we move into action right now in a way that honors our own health and well-being alongside the health and well-being of the planet. After the walk, Laurie will share easy invitations we can take with us to continue this beautiful practice at home.
Laurie has been an entrepreneur and community organizer for over 20 years. She is an adventurer who has traveled the world leading groups of women from New Mexico to the Ecuadorian Amazon and lots of places in between. As an author and speaker, she has had the honor of supporting and working within Indigenous communities around the world. Her first book, Leading From the Feminine has won many awards and is acknowledged as a go-to guide for embodiment and somatic awareness work. Her new book, Resilient Activism: Igniting Wild Hope in Uncertain Times embodies the guiding principles of her nonprofit, the Center for Wild Hope.

About The Soul Reset
When we take care of women, women take care of the world.
This is our fifth year to host The Soul Reset at Rancho de Vida. I started it as an outcome of my own soul-mining journey that followed some big life hiccups. What I learn and continue to understand is that when we go inward, that’s where the good stuff is. And, sisterhood is the constant that renews and lifts. I hope you can join us, bringing your unique, wonderful self and wisdom.
